My first thoughts were devestation for the poor girl but no shock at the sentence. Disgust and despair yes but not shock. Wtf is wrong with the world? How can they not see their own nonsense? When will women and girls stop being seen as sex holes,especially in these cultures of disturbing mysogeny? When will the men cop the fuck on?.

I've just been watching the numbers go up on the petition, I've never seen a petition where the numbers increased so much i the time it takes to add your details.

To be honest, sadly and unbelievably I think it's a step in the right direction that she was believed, not punished for being a victim and any sentence was carried out at all.

It's a complete disgrace how women in some countries are viewed and treated and I hope that with pressure from the rest of the world these governments will start to take the rights of these women seriously.
