Hello all!

Well it's that time of year that lots of people are buying Cinderella, Tinkerbell, Brave and Little Mermaid DVDs.

I hate Disney. Especially for girls. All those tiny waists and stupid voices. Same for Hello Kitty and Peppa Pig. They're all so idiotic and also with Peppa Pig there's the pukesome Mummy Pig that I despise 'Ooh let's make Daddy a cake'. 'Daddy this, Daddy that'. Single parent family here. Thanks for any good DVD suggestions :-D

Some we/she likes are:

-Kiki's Delivery Service
-My Neighbour Totoro
-Tom & Jerry
-Some French ones
-Sesame Street

Would love some fresh new ideas for non-violent, non-violent children's films that my son can enjoy too...

There's a great website called Mighty Girl. There will be lots of ideas on there. They have a whole tv and movie section.

"Ponyo"
Same team as Totoro and Kiki.

Madagascar 1,2,3 ?

Kirikou and the sorceress

Hey thanks. Kirikou we love (that's what I meant by the French ones.)

The website you suggested is good but their film section is poor I think. They don't have many original suggestions I'm afraid and anyone who has attempted to watch the Wiz of Oz with a 3-5 year old will agree that this is NOT the correct age section to have this film in :-(

So... anybody got any good suggestions for me or have I exhausted all my alternative options and will have to turn to Disney -erg!

Despicable Me 2? (Out soon!) - single parent dad and the daughters are proper characters.
