My page is being spammed by MRAs...

(Have a FB page I set up a few years ago).

All it's doing is reminding me why I set it up & why I bother (which is not quite what they're probably aiming for but never mind).

It's still pretty annoying though that every few months one will come along then encourage other twats MRAs to join the party

Do they seriously have nothing better to do. I wouldn't mind if any of them could hold an interesting conversation/debate but it's always just the same 'we know you hate men, stop pretending otherwise' boring drivel.

Oh, they've been back overnight. Fuck it. I'm taking a holiday from feminism this week

Hopefully they'll have gotten bored by the lack of response by the weekend and have pissed off to troll some other page

I know it's standard when you dare to have any sort of internet space dedicated to feminism etc but it doesn't mean it doesn't get a bit depressing from time to time

I get fed up with them here - and they'e pretty obvious/quickly banned by HQ.

On FB they are a joke - having to read their trolling crap really does depress me -even puts me off looking at feminist stuff on there.

They only seem to pop up every now & again but when they do there's always a fair few of them.

You can block individual posters though. (But it's best to let them bore themselves into silence I've found because if you ban them they just try and rally around others to twat about the page).

you can "hide" their posts, they'll still be there - just unable to annoy you & they won't know they've done it.

Alternatively, can you change the settings so that only members of the group can post? You'd then have to approve people before they could post (could be more hassle than it's worth though)...

It's a page so slightly different settings but thanks.

I've blocked the lot that were posting and removed a few posts as I'm fed up enough with it to run the risk of attracting more!

Have deleted the pointless insulting posts but left a lot up.

I like running it as it reminds me that even if I feel like the only one who's bothered sometimes I'm really not. Plus it has actually had a few converts on it who were put off by the 'feminism myths' (especially the man-hating myth)
