Texan abortion bill debate now

Hello just thought would highlight this. As its US some astonishingly blinkered views but a great 'don't mess with texan women' pro choice campaign apparently some (male white racist) governers are leadin a bill to reduce 50 abortion clinics to 5 (a state about 10 times the size of the uk?) plus some advocating everyone pay full price for abortion..ie actively blocking anyone but wealthy getting abortions..

Anyone know what the time difference is with Texas? Live feed is saying 'house adjourned until 10am' when I look at it.

I'm not sure if this was posted anywhere, but during the last debate, tampons and sanitary pads were confiscated from women going into the public gallery, as there were concerns about plans to throw these items at the elected officials.

But anyone with a concealed carry permit, could go in the gallery with a gun.

Seriously.

I'd be proud too, tess. In fact I am proud of all the women who have been standing up for themselves. As a woman living in the south (and especially as a pregnant women in the south, I see my rights very quickly being taken away here)
