Please, if you are a self-respecting woman who believes she is equal to a man, go to this site and help me show them what it means to be equal!

OP posts:
MummyAbroad · 17/06/2013 17:48

Isnt it better to ignore them?

FreyaSnow · 17/06/2013 17:50

I think it is better to ignore. Let them get on with it.

MummyAbroad · 17/06/2013 17:54

Also, I dont want to be "equal" with a bunch of posters who are mostly *American teenagers with no debating skills, and who have very small vocabularies. I am much better than that Grin

e.g. comment - "Nice. Spot on ownage of that dumb bish" [hmmm]

*sorry Americans! Not a specific slur against you!

grimbletart · 17/06/2013 17:54

It's a bodybuilding site, so the dipsticks have muscles in their heads instead of brains and the steroids make their dicks shrivel anyway. They are just compensating for their inadequacies. Poor wee creatures.

raylewisbear · 17/06/2013 18:03

If we keep leaving things alone, how are we going to change anything?

OP posts:
FreyaSnow · 17/06/2013 18:05

By selecting the most appropriate use of our time?

raylewisbear · 17/06/2013 18:08

true, freyasnow. Its just frustrating

OP posts:
weeklydeals · 17/06/2013 18:13

"the steroids make their dicks shrivel anyway"

That's a myth, they don't. If you are going to accuse people to using illegal drugs I assume you have evidence to back up your claim?

grimbletart · 17/06/2013 18:23

Ooooh weekly - had a humour bypass? Sorry, I'll be serious then. Anabolic steroids are not very good for the balls (allegedly). Grin

YoniTime · 17/06/2013 18:27

You want us to come over to your site and fight? No thanks.

Justfornowitwilldo · 17/06/2013 18:33

No, it only causes

reduced sperm count
infertility
shrinking of testicles
baldness
breast development
increased risk of developing prostate cancer
splayed teeth and overgrowth of the forehead (giving an 'incredible hulk' appearance)
severe acne

weeklydeals · 17/06/2013 18:50

"shrinking of testicles"

myth.

weeklydeals · 17/06/2013 18:51

The testicles might be smaller because of the reduced sperm count, but there are no permanent changes in size. Once the user stops taking steroids they return to normal.

And penis size doesn't change at all.

FeegleFion · 17/06/2013 18:52

I actually had a good giggle whilst reading that infantile thread, OP.

Sorry, I'm not going to waste my time on it either.

FeegleFion · 17/06/2013 18:55

Weekly does the irrational need to aggressively hijack a thread in the pursuit of explaining that balls will go back to normal increase for someone taking anabolic steroids?

grimbletart · 17/06/2013 18:55

Just for starters...

FasterStronger · 17/06/2013 18:57

is it a site for 14 y.o. boys?

its not exactly intellectually weighty! and I tired to watch the video they thought was funny & gave up though boredom....

yep inadequates.

GrimmaTheNome · 17/06/2013 18:59

Feegle - maybe:
Misusing anabolic steroids can also cause the following psychological or emotional effects:

?aggressive behaviour

?mood swings
?manic behaviour
?hallucinations and delusions

(same NHS website as Just quoted).

FeegleFion · 17/06/2013 19:02

Grimma - that's actually very interesting.

Thank you Smile

to FasterStronger

raylewisbear seems to be a 14 year old girl, wading in with boys who are older (and stupider!) than she is. I do admire your fighting spirit raylewisbear - but do remember to be careful to choose your battles wisely though!

GrimmaTheNome · 17/06/2013 19:05

The site is here if anyone wants the rest of it.

FeegleFion · 17/06/2013 19:07

Actually, MrsD has just said it all.

grimbletart · 17/06/2013 19:20

Sorry, the BMJ sites requires a subscription, which I have, but probably not many will unless in the medical field.

Didn't mean to derail. MrsD is right.

HullMum · 17/06/2013 19:26

Oh sweet sweet Raylewis, if you are legit please stick around the mumsnet FWR forum, you'll find it interesting and full of like minded intelligent woman (and men).

Please stay off IWorkOutConstantlyBecauseNoOneWillFuckMeAndI'mSadLonelyAndBitter.com

It's depressing and will only raise your blood pressure.

When you get to our ages you worry about these things
