Kinda new to Mumsnet- just signed up today! :-)
I'd love to hear from anyone who might be going through the legal system for custody.
I'm finding that my voice isn't being heard by the (male) judge in question or by my solicitor or my court children's officer (both female.) I'm trying to set up a local support group but I'd settle for an online one if anyone's about?

If anyone would like to send me a private message, that's cool too!

you mean residency? custody is an out dated term

why is the system sexist?that wasn't my findings at all

Yeah my ex wants joint residency. He had this when we first separated but wasn't looking after the children adequately. Now he's dragging us through the courts, lying about all the times when he was neglectful/ irresponsible & everyone seems to be listening to him. And not me. It just seems to be that at the moment, it's all about the dads but the mums (usually) know the children best!
#No faith in the system whatsoever
