given the appalling attitudes towards raping young women on buses- surely Ford should know better???????

just re-read and noted that Ford 'didn't approve'. - what would possess someone to think that this is ok???

Ah, can't you take a joke Hmm

I know, it's foul. At least it isn't an official advert. I remember there was a transfer you could get for your suitcase of a tied up air-stewardess (a phograph as opposed to a cartoon) that a lot of people tried to defend.

I despair, I really do. How can you explain sexism to people who think it's ok to draw bound and gagged women to advertise a car's roomy boot Confused

I have just seem this elsewhere and was about to start a thread here on it.
I feel sickened, just sickened. I can't be any more eloquent than that unfortunately.

Kiriwawa · 24/03/2013 16:30

I don't believe for a minute an agency the size of JWT got those posters printed and posted up without approval from someone at Ford. I call arse-covering bullshit.

I don't think I've ever seen a more sickening advert, particularly in the current climate in India

wordsmithsforever · 24/03/2013 16:34

Just unbelievable. I despair, honestly. Ford and the agency needs to make a huge cash donation to a women's refuge or similar in India - a weasely apology is not enough. And what Kiriwana said about the approval process!

Can someone tweet their (our) displeasure to Ford?
