I am fuming. It's facebook I'm afraid.
A company I 'liked' on facebook has just shared an explicit picture of a woman's bare breasts with a couple of crappy stickers half-concealing her nipples, no head/face in the picture, pure objectification. It was taken as part of a competition to get the company's stickers in 'imaginative places', so for marketing/advertising. I disliked the company immediately and will let them know exactly what I think of them, but my first response was to report it to facebook to get them to take it down - and they won't! They say it doesn't violate their nudity or pornography standards! FFS!
Their standards are as follows:
Facebook has a strict policy against the sharing of pornographic content and any explicitly sexual content where a minor is involved. We also impose limitations on the display of nudity. We aspire to respect people?s right to share content of personal importance, whether those are photos of a sculpture like Michelangelo's David or family photos of a child breastfeeding.
Fucking Michelangelo's David and family photos of a child breastfeeding - not exactly the same thing!
