I unfortunately happened upon this article on my Facebook feed. Thoughts? Opinions? What does one say to people such as this? My immediate reaction is "Fuck off you abusive, patriarchal, small-appendaged, twunt." but I feel that would just fuel their sickening argument.

Well I am not clicking the link and giving them more traffic but anything with white in the title is going to be women hating shit. But feminism should be challenging the traditional family unit as it is not historically good for women. If we are getting people like this a bit scared then that's a good thing.

Abigail - I too wish I hadn't read it. As to the whole traditional marriage model I find myself wondering, if the tables were turned, and the traditional marriage model resulted in mainly SAHF's who were dumped, trying to scrabble for a job after having been out of the job scene for several years, and juggling the kids whilst simultaneously trying to fight their partner, who is going for custody, who had infinitely more resources due to having a job and control of the finances for several years to manipulate the court system, if the would be rapid changes in the law as to how the partner with lesser resources was treated and supported?

If every woman didn't have to live with a man from social and economic necessity, then women would only ever live with men because they actively wanted to.

An awful lot of men would lose their domestic and sexual skivvy. An awful lot of men would have to behave as if the women they live with matter as much as they do.

No wonder so many of them feel so threatened by the prospect of equality.

My DF and his wife are born-again Christians. Whenever I post something even vaguely feminist on FB, she'll comment that feminism is destructive and so on.
