Define what you think a feminist game would be like, then define areas of gaming that you do not want, i.e. FPS, RPG, racing etc.

Dh is keen for us to play together (XBox). I have agreed to give up an hour on a Thursday night. So far we have played Portal 2 and Carcasonne.

Both fine.

Oh, and The Walking Dead but it was too violent for me.

Portal 2 is awesome!

There's Super Princess Peach, where Peach rescues Mario en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Princess_Peach. I haven't played it, so not sure if it's any good. It got a metacritic rating of 75, which is alright.

The Sims 2 or 3 is fun, the characters have attributes based on their personality rather than sex (the only difference is only females can get pregnant, although there are mods to inflict it on the men too Grin) and you can pretty much make them do whatever you want.

Sonic the Hedgehog isn't really feminist, but it is free from silly gender stereotypes, as far as I know. I think Sonic is a boar hedgehog, but it isn't hugely relevant or even obvious.

Mario Kart has a playable female character who can do all the same dirty tricks as the male characters, although she is a pink-wearing princess.

The female characters in the Lego film tie-in games tend to be quite good - as good as the characters they are based on, but with the same range of powers as the male ones.

TBH I think most games are pretty feminist friendly, it would be easier to list those which are problematic.

RPGs such as skyrim, oblivion, and the fallout games allow you to choose and create female characters and offer you choices of how to act and complete the games.

I really liked Portal 2 as well; you basically have to puzzle your way through a series of rooms by shooting teleport portals in clever places. and then looking up the solution online when you get stuck

Little Big Planet?

Do you mean console only or will you accept PC games? If PCs are ok, I recommend the old Baldur's Gate series (RPG), Terraria (you can find it on Steam and it's where my username comes from, worldbuilding game), Portal, and Dungeons of Dredmor (straightforward questy dungeon crawl) especially as their forum had a wonderful response to sexist jokes. All of these except Portal have options to play female characters and their outfits are perfectly reasonable. No bare midriff armour and pretty much covered.
Portal 1, of course, only has a female lead and an earworm song at the end.

A teenager I know has suggested Mirror's Edge.
