<rant> I am so FUCKING fed up with the guardian comments (women in journalism article)

I was just reading the article on how women are dramatically under represetned in newspapers

and then read the comments. Seriously, they make me want to just cry.

DO you think if these comments were racist rather than mysogynistic, they would be allowed to stand?

Bigkid - yes, I've seen racist, homophobic, Islamaphobic, disablist, etc. comments "below the line" in Comment is Free articles, yes, left to stand. I really don't understand their moderating policy at all. They zap some things, and leave other blatantly bigoted things to stay.

I rarely read the comments from "keyboard warriors" anymore. If you read the mobile version of the site, the comments section doesn't appear. It's better for the blood pressure that way!

I've just gone back to he article and loads have been deleted :)
