I was wondering if anyone could recommend a book that explains the priciples of feminism and its origins? I love reading about it here on MN but would like to learn more. I'm fairly average intelligence and don't want to buy something I couldn't understand!
Thanks in advance!

Hi Lurkey, it's hard to say really as there are so many kinds of feminism: i found I read a few texts and agreed or didn't agree with certain bits. This has good reviews: www.amazon.co.uk/Feminism-Very-Short-Introduction-Introductions/product-reviews/019280510X/ref=sr_1_1_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1
But my first read was The Female Eunuch by Germaine Greer - again, didn't agree with all she said but it got me thinking.
