UK Feminista Summer School - will I be a fish out of water?

I'm really keen to go to this in September.

I've never been to anything like this before. I'm a feminist but have never really done anything with it, beyond family and friends.

Will I be out of my depth? I'll also have to take DS (5 mo) as he's ebf.

Any advice really welcome!

I went last year, heavily pregnant (hi SGM! I was the pregnant one!). Like you, I've always been a feminist but haven't been 'active' since uni days. I didn't feel out of place, & came away feeling switched on & energised. A few months later I went to another conference with DD about 2 mo & got lots of coos etc. You will have a lovely time! (sadly can't go this year due to another event)

Thanks both, very reassuring.

Off to book tickets!

I've not been yet (can't manage this year, either...)

Only ever heard good things about it. :) I'm sure you'll enjoy it

Really hoping I can go to this and if I can I will be bringing a 6 month old who is still very much breastfeeding while consuming lots of solids!
