Eugh too many topics. Don't know where to put this but hopefully some people might be interested in the Feminist Frequency.
She's a fabulous speaker who talks gender in popular culture including , and .
She's recently begun to do research into women in computer games and got shit loads of stick from misogynists but the publicity it got meant she got a lot more donations.
I do love her a lot bit.

Feminism in pop culture has been what drew me into feminism in the first place and for any one else interested, on

.

I started by reading Living Dolls and I notice it all the time now.

Does anyone else have an interest in this? Any links to interesting blogs or something?

Oh yes, I've seen the Feminist Frequency stuff - really good, funny and sharp. Loved the Smurfette Principle one in particular.

There are just so many good sites on the whole pinkification/sexulalisation crap, but also ones that balance things up with a more positive pitch. Here's a few off the top of my head:

Shaping Youth
Pink Stinks
Powered by Girl

There are another few I've got links to at work and can't remember just this minute. Will pop them on later in the week.
