Should the Equality Act be repealed?

The Equality Act has been used as a weapon in order to silence rad fems.

Should it therefore be repealed?

How has it been used as a weapon?

Can you show examples of where this has happened?
Can you show where all the benefits of equality policy generally would be better served if it was repealed?
It's not a perfect piece of legislation but it's a start down the right route as far as I'm concerned.

Nah just give the radfems some tips on make-up and simpering to men and it will all come out in the wash.

No, the Equality Act should not be repealed. There have been problems with it in the past, where the rights of different groups came into conflict, and these problems were ironed out through various cases and some revisions. It is perfectly possible that the same can be done again so that people with no gender identity are given protection under the law.

I used to think so but recently coming round to idea that, poorly drafted as it is, it kind of serves both sides pretty well. At the moment it is still possible to work around the act because it is so full of holes but if repealed and then legislated against in the future we probably wouldn't be able to go out at all?

The Equality Act isnt just about gender/sex. It covers other groups.
