Radical feminist blogs

Just some advice really. I have been reading radical feminist blogs and finding it really interesting. Some have links to other radical feminist blogs or articles on them. But reasonably frequently when I click on them, it will say that you can only access them by invitation only.

Now I guess this is obviously because they have been attacked by haters and want to create a safe space. But is there anything I can do to get an invite or to be able to access them? Don't mind if I can't post on them, just want to be able to read the posts, so any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks. Hadn't come across either of them and the mumsnet one is funny.

(I am zombiegames by the way have NC)

By funny I mean in a god bless them patronising way - do they really think this is proper analysis and criticism.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 12/05/2012 20:19

I am assuming flat you are a MRA?

flatulette · 12/05/2012 20:47

if I was an MRA I'd have to be fucking mental to imagine those blogs would promote my cause

actually everything from 'to imagine' on is superfluous isn't it?

FrothyDragon · 12/05/2012 21:03

Then why link them if someone is looking for Rad Fem blogs to follow? Hmm

flatulette · 12/05/2012 21:10

actually I thought the OP was an MRA trying to troll feminist blogs

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 12/05/2012 21:13

Do an advanced search and read my posts and you will see that is not the case.

FrothyDragon · 12/05/2012 21:24

Why jump to that assumption?

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 12/05/2012 21:30

And I did say I didn't mind if I couldn't post, just wanted to be able to read recommended articles

TeiTetua · 12/05/2012 22:46

I think if you want to read those blogs, the thing to do is contact the owners and ask politely to be given access. Say a few words about yourself and what else you've seen and what you're looking for, and if you like, point to some stuff you've posted on public boards (here?) that makes you look reasonable. Unless the blogs are basically private and just intended for an existing group where people know each other, I can't see why anyone would keep a new person out.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 12/05/2012 22:51

Yes I would if I could, but there is no way to contact them. It comes up with a box basically saying you need to log in. There may be nothing I can do. Pity.
