This is my first thread (the topic has annoyed me enough to post!).
Please have a look at this story: London Met Links with Stag Do Firm.
I am horrified that the University would consider this acceptable. I want to be able to respond to it. I am a Union member and on the Exec. of my branch (at a different University). I would really appreciate any suggestions on how I can raise the profile of this story and get people involved in voicing their concerns.

I think I would get in touch with members of the Student Union at London Met and see if they are aware of this. It would probably carry much more weight if it came from within the university itself.

Find out who's at the top of the faculty that offers "work placement" experience with this company for Masters' students and write to them. Basically, see if there are any potential allies elsewhere in the university (Gender Studies department, Human Rights course leaders, actually is the Women and Child Abuse Studies Unit now part of London Met, Liz Kelly, Linda Regan and other fab feminist academics? They'll be incandescent about this!)

On a related note, although this is in the US, there's a protest against the discount group "Groupon" for selling discount vouchers for visits to torture porn studios. Further information here.
