What a load of mysogynistic bollocks. They have a very outdated idea of what a feminist is about. Did the writer of that article time travel from the 1960s kind of like Life on Mars in reverse or something. Knobber.

Don't feel offended exactly, just.... tired. The magazine industry was a pile of shite 25 years ago when I briefly worked in it, and nothing's changed.

Talking about magazines (OP I am sorry to go OT for just a second) I was reading my mum's Chat magazine earlier, and there was a story about a woman being killed. Here is the sub heading:

Carolyn Killaby went to a bar on her own one Saturday night after her family left her home alone. But little did she know a sick killer would prey on her drunkenness,(see how they are blaming her here??) rape and kill her, then dump her body where no-one would find it. Worse, he blamed her husband...

I am going to write to Chat to complain. It is pretty much saying the murder of a woman is of less concern than a lesser crime against a man.

The date on the bottom of the page is November 2003.

Not that it makes it any less disgusting, but it is eight or nine years old... would be interesting to see if the same article would pass editing today.

You don't want to get your knickers in a twist about this stuff. Just remember men's mags like this are designed for readers whose IQs are less than their shoe size. It's just (about, on a good day) one step up from grunt grunt.
Mostly it's pictures 'cos they do do reading and when they read you can see their lips move. It's all a great strain for their tiny brains.....

Unless you live in the congo Othersoil, I doubt you walk bast hoardes of men raping women , it is not something most men do. or manage not to do. The majority of men are not rapists , a minority like every other crime.
