Hollie Greig is a 32 year old downs syndrome woman who claims that she was sexually abused by her father who also shared his daughter with a high level paedophile ring in the Scottish town of Aberdeen.
If this is not awful enough, for the last 12 years Hollie and her mum Anne have been fighting to have the claims investigated, yet instead of receiving support they have been intiminated by the authorities.
There is medical evidence to support Hollie's claims and Grampian police accept truth in Hollie's statement, yet no action has been taken against the perpetrators.
In fact the authorities have attempted to discredit Anne Greig. Anne was sectioned under the mental health act and taken to hospital, thankfully Anne had the presence of mind to get herself checked by a leading psychiatrist who proclaimed her sane, something even the hospital were forced to concur.
Grampian Police are also implicated in a failure to investigate the death in very suspicious circumstances of the key witness to Hollie's abuse, her uncle Roy Greig. In 1997 Roy stumbled upon Hollie's father abusing her. Hollie's father threatened to kill him and shortly afterwards, Roy was found dying in a burnt out car. The death was recorded as suicide.
In February this year Hollie's leading campaigner, Robert Green was sentenced to one year in prison for breach of the peace, following an attempt to distribute leaflets in Aberdeen exposing Hollie's story and the failure of the authorities to investigate Hollie's claims.
Worst of all, Hollie is now subject to Shropshire Council care proceedings with the view to seperate her from her mother, which is cruellest thing anyone could do. She has been refused permission to Appeal against the local authority's care plan so is back in the Court of Protection, where it has already been decided that she does not have capacity to litigate for herself.
