Kony 2012 - heavy emphasis on the plight of Yugandan boys over girls

I only saw this last night and I know there are a myriad of concerns that have been raised about this campaign, Invisible Children etc.

I was struck by how heavily focused this one on the plight of Yugandan boys rather than children. The filmmaker has a boy and a girl, heavily features his son - a lot of "imagine if my son were forced to be a child soldier". Yes, and imagine if your daughter was a sex slave? Despicable as well, yes? So why the focus on the boys alone?

Don't answer that! I know the answer is obvious. It just feels more disappointing when a humanitarian charity is doing this stuff.
