Help needed please

Hi there. I am helping to do a display of inspirational women for IWD. I have found loads of historical inspirational women. My head is exploding with them. I just wondered if anyone could nominate any younger inspirational women of today.

I know this sounds daft but I have thought of so many of the older ones I cant think anymore!!

How young?

Shami Chakrabarti? I know she has many detractors, but personally I think she does a great job as the director of Liberty, and she is an inspiration for me.

And from an older generation but living rather than historical I would nominate Helen Bamber and Baroness Hale.

Not sure if young enough for you though. I think under 30 when I think young.

What about the blue peter presenter who keeps doing ridiculously dangerous challenges? Helen Skelton is it? I've just seen a couple of bits on the news but that looks pretty inspirational and she is deffo young!

Finn mackay is super-inspirational, I heard her give a speech a couple of years ago and everyone was jumping up and down and whooping. Proper charismatic.

Agree re shami chakrabati you don't see many young women on progs like question time and she always comes across so well.

(She's in her forties, but that's still young, right?)

I say young I suspect she looks very young when placed next to people like david dimbleby - I think she is prob about my age and I'm definitely not a whippersnapper!!!

Divinity Roxx who plays bass in Beyonce's band and also has a band of her own. Very talented musician, keen to inspire and encourage young girls to take up music.
