I was sent a link to an article in yesterdays Independent by Laurie Penny which made me quite stabby on her behalf. I honestly do not understand the mentality of men who set out to threaten and intimidate women who put forward an opinion they don't like. Surely it's against the law to do this? If not, then should it be?
Pleas note it isn't her I got angry about, but those attacking her via their keyboards.

Cannot handle AIBU thread. I am astounded that whenever anything involvinng crap treatment of women is raised, it always, always becomes the fault of feminists, MN feminists especially.

It's like lady physics, weak yet all powerful due to our vagina forcefields. Or something.

And another feminist has ensured that the Italian interest rates are at 7%.

It's amazing what we can achieve with our vagina force fields.

The AIBU thread did turn into a bit of a bunfight, which was not my intention. Now if I had phrased the thread title along the lines of "To think this woman should stop whining and get a fucking grip?", I would have more than likely got the kicking that richly deserves.
