Hello,

I just reported a thread started by 'Dittony' which had a title attacking another poster and provided a link to a blog post.

It looked like a few others had reported it too as they had posted on it.

However in A/C there is another thread with the same title, which when you click on it takes you to a page saying 'error: thread deleted at OP's request'.

The OP however would appear to be someone who posted on the first thread, but not the same person who started it.

So can anyone please clarify what happened here...assuming the second thread was not posted by the same person as the first, (which has now gone) under a namechange?

(really hope not!)

edd, that is totally untrue! It was a joke - humour! I was being lighthearted which most people would find friendly. What do you want me to do? I just want to understand and sympathize and all you do is shoot me down. It just gives you all a bad name when you behave in such a rude manner to someone trying to be nice to you.

And I notice you and bob are ganging up on me ... doesn't matter who I tried to talk to, you both come after me!

Bob I had no intention of twisting your words. I simple made a little joke to be friendly and I think you have become totally over-emotional about the whole thing. You may feel you can police what I say - you can't. This board is a free space for me to post if I want to. I am sorry you misudnerstood but sad you still can't tell me what was really wrong with my little joke and why you are so upset by it.

I tried so hard to understand and adapt to what you wanted - all you do is become more and more extreme about criticizing me with this nasty attack on my joke. Don't you see this is just making everything you say look bad to me? Why should I waste my time trying to talk to you nicely when you just throw it back in my face?

Bob: a number pf men post on here quite regularly. They are very welcome. This whole thread is about posters -who whether they consider themselves trolls or not- hang about on the feminist section making misogymist comments -veiled and polite in some cases but still misogynist. They make rape jokes or suggest that there is nothing wrong with an adult man lecging over a 13 year old. This type of people I abhor whatever their sex. I think feminists ate more or less on agreement on that. These are the people not really welcome here.
And before you say it: it is not about disagreeing with them. I disagree with lots of posters on here very often. Its about the misogyny, the offensive "jokes" and the rape apologies.
