Okay, so I know this does fall into the category of 'what about the menz' but I still thought this video was of interest to feminists.

It is about the 'psychotherapy' carried out on a boy who was considered too feminine, and the research done on him is still used now by some people to justify attempting to change children's behaviour.

I thought people might want to see it because we do talk about bringing up children without gender stereotypes on here, and also forcing a masculine role on to children does then have an impact on how those men view women in later life. Although it is about a boy, it is of course the case that people push girls into feminine behaviour as well.

I should warn people that it is distressing to watch.

as you say people just hear there was some study done and the 'outcome' is taken as fact without people looking into or seeing what the published result was versus the press result (including my scientist colleagues)
