Women only want equal rights when it suits them, like pay for example.

My dad was always very keen on the bit in Stupid White Men where Moore lists a selection of stepladder outlets and sperm banks, thereby rendering it unnecessary for women to keep men about the house.

After doing extensive research before getting divorced, I bought:
A rubber-band thing for opening jars and stop-cock taps;
A vibrator;
A step ladder.
I use the opening-things thing regularly;
I used the vibrator twice;
I bought a proper extending, multi-position ladder.

My conclusion:
Men have much better wrist action (wonder why that is? );
Men are better at knowing which ladder will be more useful.

Hmm, That jam-jar opener someone linked to does look quite handy.
I have a jar of "cherry plum jam" in the cupboard which has so far defied me,
(despite still owning a handy DH - at time of going to press )
As for the direction this thread has taken, you can't say MNers aren't practical !
