This may be bad form if it is considered to be a thread about a thread but really I am trying to discuss a general principle, an example of which I have seen on another thread

I like a good debate/argument/whatever. I find the whole process quite challenging and stimulating which is why I like coming on MN

I'm on another thread where somebody has described an argument as 'handbags at dawn

I think this really debases the idea of women having a gold old disagreement.

Thoughts anybody?
