DD is now 16 months, and since her birth I've been very aware of the gender stereotyping around.
I'm fed up with seeing male-only farmers in picture books, the abundance of pink clothes, stupidly impractical girl's shoes, friends who have sons the same age as DD describing their offspring as 'tough' and 'robust' etc etc
I'm also very aware just how conditioned I am too by gender stereotyping, and try to counteract this by asking "what would you do if DD was DS", for example when she fell over recently and grazed her knee (and then that gets me pondering whether actually boys should get more fuss when they hurt themselves)
Anyway, I need to do some reading! Can anyone recommend me an accessible (haven't read critiques since University moons ago) book please? TIA
