Sorry I've been so quiet on these forums (and the banner letters are in the pipeline! I haven't forgotten about them!), I've been working on my novel and spending less time online than I ever have!
Anyway, the feminist group I'm setting up starts next Sunday (17) and the reporter who covered my IWD event emailed me the other day to ask me to write an article for their 'Big Issue' page they do most days, where a member of the public gets to 'sound off' (in her words
) about an issue that's important to them. She said it would be great publicity for my group.
So, really excited, of course. It needs to be 400-800 words (it's about 1/2 a page!) and I can write whatever I want. Can I PM it to some of you for critique, please? I'm worried I've got the emphasis wrong - this is a first draft. But don't hold back - I want it to be brilliant because I'm planning to ask the editor if she fancies paying me to write a regular feminist column for the paper weekly or monthly or something...if you don't ask you don't get!
I don't want her to say no simply because she thinks I'm shite at writing, though!
Reply here, or PM me if you're happy to critique what I've written.
