What books have you had so far?

and has anyone read - noughtie girl's guide to feminism..? I just picked it up and am fearful for what may lie inside... all kinds of justification for lap dancing and the like, or sensible discussion? I am more old fashioned in my feminist views I think.. in most areas anyway. But i liked the front cover Grin

I have read the E.Illusion, it was the first fem book I read and am beginning it for a second time this week to screen it for suitability for my DSD (12)

Haven't read the reclaiming F yet though so will give it a whirl.

Following the Fword review, above, I found another one on a blog called 'feminist memory' and it was so scathing it was unreal

'What is the ettiquette on writing the first three posts on your own thread??!!'

it shows enthusiasm and is therefore considered admirable behaviour Wink

I have always had full marks for enthusiasm!

I shall review the book when i have finished it - don't expect anyhting too academic but I'll do me best Grin

There are, at the moment, two book clubs. One looks at feminist writing and the other is just starting and will be be an opportunity to look at fiction with a feminist eye. That's the idea anyway. I'm hoping it's not just going to be me and a half read copy of Villette :)

Thanks, that's wonderful, I was thinking of reading up to date and then joining. I've read approx half that list. Mainly the most recently published.

Have read three chapters of 'Noughties' and am champing at the bit to review it... it's hard going but in the name of keeping my promises I will persevere.
