A Male Rights Activist on boycotting Valentines Day.

Because women are evil who will reject men from their beds unless men buy expensive gifts. Real men will boycott valentines day, only wimps go along with it.

True equality can only be achieved when Valentines Day is no more!

gosh, is Valentine's Day not mutual in his relationships then?
what a revolting picture of relationships he paints.

HerBeX · 07/02/2011 18:22

I almost feel sorry for him.

Almost.

BertieBotts · 07/02/2011 18:24

Is anyone else slightly unnerved by his smile? Confused

Saltatrix · 07/02/2011 18:26

To be fair, I think he is talking from a uniquely US perspective. I think I might object to adverts that pressure and berate men to splash the cash on Valentines Day.

Love is a mutual thing, showing love with flowers or chocolates or a card or whatever is fine as long as both sexes do it.

His arguement is that (in the US) it all seems one way traffic.

SardineQueen · 07/02/2011 20:37

Dittany you made me literally LOL with your 18:28 post Grin

SardineQueen · 07/02/2011 20:39

"Guys [celebrate Valentine's Day] because they're afraid they'll get rejected in the bedroom."

Rudov admits he too once fell for the "sextortion," but changed for the better about 10 years ago."

Sextortion? Blimey!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 07/02/2011 23:09

hahahaha @ dittany.

I must say, in some ways life feels better than ever as a single woman. Surely the lesbian nun gardening commune thing is just a step away? :o

I take it someone's already mentioned that it's not women who own the diamond coroporations, or the third world cocoa slaves

sakura · 08/02/2011 05:39

IN fact, in a subversive round about way, perhaps these male rights activists will cause diamond, cocoa and flower [European roses are grown by poor women in Africa] stocks to crash, thereby liberating a large number of third worl women from predatory capitalists, thus enabling them to concentrate on co-operative farming.

sakura · 08/02/2011 05:40

it's America, so that would make it Latin-American women (Ecuadorians, mainly) growing the roses for a pittance
