Jen Aniston looks like sexualised doll

I saw this link via Yahoo,

www.refinery29.com/jennifer-aniston-looks-like-creepy-real-doll-in-the-new-allure.php

Basically the article is about Jen and how she didn't like her famous Rachel hair-do. Not exactly world grabbing news, but it's the pics of her which grabbed my attention more than the article.

She is in her 40s, but these pics are airbrushed beyond even looking natural. The satin PJs and teddybear are just too much, too much like a sexy child.

It makes me wonder why a grown woman would agree to posing this way. What sort of image does it give her to the public?

The lines really are blurred.

My god those pictures are awful.
Im a Jen An fan but she looks ridiculous in these photos.

sassythefirst · 19/01/2011 17:21

They are horrendous, aren't they. She is becoming a caricature of herslf with that breathy "I'm so kooky and need a man to take care of me" thing. Blee.

msrisotto · 19/01/2011 17:24

Gross gross gross. Is kinderwhore coming back or something?

aristomache · 19/01/2011 17:26

bleurk! she has the awful "facebook pout" down to a tee

TryLikingClarity · 19/01/2011 18:06

She looks like a waxwork doll.

Not a good look.

But the thing is, most women in the public eye in the music or fashion or film industry, look like over-sexualised dolls.

That is the only acceptable look. A few brave souls are allowed to slip through the net, just so the bastards can say "well there's Adele, so the music industry isn't sexist" or "well there's Kathy Bates, so the film industry isn't sexist." But they're only there so that those who aren't concentrating, don't notice how grotesque the definition of a woman being beautiful now is.

TryLikingClarity · 19/01/2011 19:34

It might be the Hollywood norm to look like a doll, but I find it gross that a grown woman is posing as a child with a teddy.

How is that appropriate or alluring?

We're campaigning to stop the media from making kids look too old, yet Jen is here posing looking like a child.

WTF?

She won't have brought it with her to the photo shoot! Don't blame the woman for making her money out of the twisted system.

msrisotto · 19/01/2011 21:26

The thing that's really getting to me is - who is she/this picture trying to appeal to - men? Are men attracted to children then? Is that what they're trying to say? If they're not saying that then....what are they saying? I genuinely don't know what else they could be saying.

liquiditytrap · 19/01/2011 21:30

Hahahaha she looks completely stupid.

I suppose she's got to do something to make herself look interesting. She's only famous for being in Friends, and playing the same character in a thousand chick flicks

Coleysworth · 19/01/2011 21:42

Saw these pics yesterday while trawling the Daily Mail website in search of things to get irate about Wink

The close-up-with-teddy gave me the heebie jeebies, because, frankly, the image editor has removed all signs of life hasn't he (or she)? JA literally looks like a plastic doll.

So yes, like msrisotto I've been wondering a) what the hell these pictures signify and b) who are they bloody well for?

I'm not going to diss JA for doing it though. She works in a cruel industry. I wonder what she thinks of these pics herself Confused

NannyState · 19/01/2011 21:46

Grim.

Posing topless in PJs with a teddybear? She is past 40 and supposedly an 'actor'. She really ought to be asking herself what the fuck she hopes to achieve by doing these awful photo shoots? And of course she needs to take responsibility! She isn't a victim in all of this. She is a powerful, wealthy, clever woman who could say: 'Um, no thanks. I wont be posing with a teddybear as some sort of paedo's dream barbie-girl. Not for ANY amount of money. Now fuck off.'

Or maybe not. Maybe she is just another sad, powerless pawn in the game. How depressing.

Coleysworth · 19/01/2011 21:57

The thing that's making me go "WTF?" as much as anything is that Allure is a women's magazine!

Grim indeed

I suspect that she is doing it because she believes it will enhance her career.

Adn that in itself is awful.

Malificence · 20/01/2011 12:24

She's obviously never seen those ultra-realistic, very expensive sex dolls they have for sad (rich) weirdos in the States - she's a dead ringer for one!

Very, very creepy, DH showed me the pictures last night and said how awful the poses and her look was.

What's the matter with the woman? Confused

sakura · 20/01/2011 13:22

well.. men buy blow up "female" dolls to stick their weeny in, or they masturbate to magazine pictures and all sorts of weird stuff
Many of them are horrified, really horrified at the thought of PUBIC HAIR or MENSTRUAL BLOOD or FEMALE FAT

So a female doll/bot is patriarchy's ideal woman. The best about her is there's no fear of her becoming a feminist, or ageing, or talking...

sakura · 20/01/2011 13:24

I suppose my point is that these photos are a natural progression of what we already know about the system

walkinZombie · 22/01/2011 22:18

Shes a pretty woman let her flaunt it
