Elephants had this idea!!

So I'll start

"we're not a homogeneous mass..."
"I don't like to be too narrow..."

OP posts:
scottishmummy · 25/11/2010 21:05

why on feminism board is exploration of topic called derailer.on other topics people accept things go off at tangents.

oh no hang on the feetie stampie aibu posters who personally thank all affirmative posts, and deride pov dont like

derail accusations is bit comparable to that

I don't get all this SM antifeminist argument. It is clear that SM is a feminist, and quite a well read one at that.

She may be a progressive feminist in the sense that she doesn't just blindly accept the standard feminist argument, but just because she questions the feminist status quo does not make her anti feminist

I wish we could all just debate the issues rather than feel the need to label people as antifeminist.

HerBeatitude · 25/11/2010 21:28

But you don't want to discuss the topic. You never do. You just want to needle and seek conflict and it's just not very interesting sm. We'd like to discuss anti-feminist bingo and how we respond to it, is that OK with you?

well thats your contention,i assert i do contribute to be sometimes met with sniggery antifeminsit or derailer accusations.i value your posts and every contribution, and i accept that you post what you feel.if you interpret it as block block, maybe consider the response evoked in you,and why

and fwiw dittany i dont post oh lookey scottishmummy et al are here post gone tits up kind of posts about you.you do about me

HerBeatitude · 25/11/2010 21:31

LadyBB - I'm not sure anyone has described sm as anti-feminist on this thread (I'm not interested enough to check, but I'm sure she will find a post and point us all to it if I have).

She's doing what she always does - refuse to engage with the substance of the debate and just pick, pick pick. That gets quite wearing after a while.

HerBeatitude · 25/11/2010 21:33

Sorry if I have should read as if somebody has.

scottishmummy · 25/11/2010 21:34

is your subjective pov that i dont engage in substance hb.i of course dont concur.but hey i would say that wouldn't i

I also perceive it as block block block.

I've considered why your contributions generally evoke that response in me and come to the conclusion that it's because you block, block, block.

Grin

I think it's pretty discourteous to go on to threads and continually block posters who started out trying to engage with you in good faith tbh. There comes a point when one can't be arsed any more.

wukter · 25/11/2010 21:39

Alright sm you've made your point.
You don't agree with us.

Is there anyone else you don't agree with?

scottishmummy · 25/11/2010 21:42

your contrary opinion has been asserted also.thats how it goes,we all lay out our pov we hold and await comments

LadyBlaBlah · 25/11/2010 21:42

But I also know that the OP was directly quoting SM with "we are not a homogenous mass"

The OP came on here to do a C & P of SM, knowing that she would know who had said it.

How come I know what SM means then? I know that she makes contributions. I wonder if it is because the contributions are often directly intended to question what posters perceive to be 'the answer'- that is question what is being said as the 'only answer, the feminist view and thus are interpreted as being 'blocks ?

scottishmummy · 25/11/2010 21:45

yes i did say that homogenous mass v recently.recall saying it.it is pretty much a c&p

also recall the general affirmative answer was women are not homogeneous mass

wukter · 25/11/2010 21:47

But I've said 'homogenous mass' recently too.
I don't own it, neither do you.
