Story about Gingerbread people going back to being called gingerbread men. Not really fussed what you call your biscuits but thought the last line in the article the quote from the MP was an absolute Gem.

You are 404ing sorry. MPs saying bonkers things - so many things you forget about a Tory govt until you have one again.

sethstarkaddersmum · 13/11/2010 10:16

try this

you'd got an extra space in between the 1 and the 7.

claig · 13/11/2010 10:18

seeyouokay, I think this is the link

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-11746280

Last line says

"They were clearly men - they were not wearing skirts."

LynetteScavo · 13/11/2010 10:19

Those gingerbread "people" are certainly not "men". They are gingerbread children! They are decorated with children's clothes.

sethstarkaddersmum · 13/11/2010 10:20

Fuchzia - he was a Labour MP!

I'm feeling sorry for the council:
'Lancashire County Council said staff brought in the politically correct term two years ago to amuse people, but the joke had been "lost in translation".'
Fair enough!

they are very cute little gingerbread persons - I like the way they've done the eyes.

claig · 13/11/2010 10:20

The MP is a Labour and Co-operative MP. Not sure what that is. Does that mean that he is a Labour MP or something else?

LynetteScavo · 13/11/2010 10:21

I think the problem is that they are topless.

Of course a woman can wear trousers, but not wearing a top, and covering nipples with only braces is, well, a little much to be serving to school children!Shock

TeiTetua · 13/11/2010 10:23

Family legend is that when she was a child my aunt used to say "Always choose one of the boys. You get more!"

ISNT · 13/11/2010 10:24

That actually made me LOL Grin

claig · 13/11/2010 10:25

blimey there is a party called the Co-operative Party. I'd never heard of it, and apparently Gordon Brown is a member.

"Although many Labour Party candidates, and over 200 of the current Parliamentary Labour Party, are members of the Co-operative Party, including Gordon Brown and nine colleagues from his Cabinet,[1] only those candidates who have been officially endorsed by both parties may use the designation Labour Co-operative ? around 30 candidates in the elections since 1997. Only Labour Co-operative MPs and peers belong to the parliamentary Co-operative Party group."

claig · 13/11/2010 10:47

It seems that Ed Balls is also a Labour and Co-operative MP

They are clearly men - they were not wearing skirts.

This man is in public office right?

earwicga · 13/11/2010 23:37

I think they are clearly men as they have massive dicks. Look at the photo! Sick!
