I don't know if anyone's linked to this already but I thought this article was really good and depressingly accurate.

Thank you for this, I loved Bidisha when she stood in for Jane Garvey on Women's Hour and now I know why.

It's a great article and so apt. Have put it into my clippings. I like her on woman's hour too.

IT is so apt isn't it? It's something that I notice more and more and it makes my blood boil. I have to pull my DP up on some of those throwaway casual comments about women's appearance etc sometimes :(
I actually think this kind of thing - although it seems trivial sometimes - can be really pernicious and damaging. It just adds to a whole culture of misogyny being acceptable.
