What’s your favourite treat for a children’s garden party?

We’re planning a children’s garden party and I’m looking for ideas that will keep everyone happy, especially the kids.
One idea I really like is having an ice cream van at the party, as it gives everyone a fun treat without needing to prepare lots of desserts.
Has anyone here hired an ice cream van for a birthday or garden party? Was it worth it, and what flavours or toppings did the children enjoy most?
I’d love to hear your experiences and any other party food ideas that worked well.

You also would need to have a plan B if you are in the UK in case of inclement weather…

I have had an ice cream van visit my home for a children’s birthday party ( 30 kids ) and the advice from the ice cream staff themselves was to just give them 1 option , like a 99 with flake and then a choice of sauce , sprinkles etc , as otherwise they take forever deciding and hold up the queue , obviously allowing for allergies as an exception .
These were 7/8 year olds for reference but was height of summer and they loved it 🥰

Children’s parties with regards to women’s health… is it mushroom gummies for menopausal mothers? That might go down well, if you really know the mothers.
