Does anyone recognise this bird? Sorry its not a great picture. I usually know most of my garden birds but I don't know this. There was something bright around it's eyes. Is it a baby Wren?

What size was it OP? Size of a Robin? Blackbird?

frippit · 06/05/2026 20:09

It's a thrush i reckon

Ridingthegravytrain · 06/05/2026 20:09

Juvenile thrush

Would also say it’s a young thrush. Too big for a wren.

Bigger than a Robin smaller than a black bird.
I'm pretty sure it has just fledged. It's hopping around - i want it to fly away as I have cats. Hopefully it can - it flew up to the chair.

Thrush then probably. It's just come back so I may get to watch it grow up. Thanks.
