Anyone else read it? Really enjoyed the Poisonwood Bible years ago and this is great too. Interesting protagonist, great descriptions of culture and landscape. I haven't thought about the Macarthy trials since I taught The Crucible years ago - really fascinating times.

I loved the Poisonwood Bible but I just couldn't get on with The Lacuna and eventually gave up. I think that perhaps it was just me though and I should have persevered. I would be interested to know what others think-and then will maybe try again -if it is a positive response.
