Ooh I love the Siege.

Have you got to the guinea pig bit yet?

I love all her stuff, she's one of my favourite writers.

if you want something shorter, she has a collection of short stories called The Love of Fat Men. Try a Spell of Winter, too.

I loved The Siege too. And house of Orphans. If you're looking for a happy, uplifting ending, don't bother finishing it.

mumblechum, there's a sequel to The Siege just out in hardback. Can't wait to read it.

Is there really a sequel???

I read a similar one a few eyars ago, Bronze Horseman may be?

Give up if you don't like it. Its not a cheery book, as others have said.

I am a bit shruggy shoulders about Helen Dunmore.
