I loved the ''The Little Stranger'' by Sarah Waters

I disliked the ''The Time Travellors Wife''

Thank you

I've just read "a vision of loveliness" by Louise Laverne (I think)- fab.
Set in the early 60's, about a girl who leaves miserable suburban life in Norwood to move in with girl about town (who is actually a tart)
Brilliantly observed, all the detail of the early 60s, excellent.

Have you read The Spare Room? can't remember who it is by, an Autralian but loived it, very well observed and written. Helen Garner I think.

The Mathematics of Love by Emma Darwin is very good.

I keep going back to the Jamie and Claire books by Diana Gabaldon. Starts with Cross Stitch. Give it a few chapters before you give up.

Have just finished The White Tiger. Its about modern day India, very funny and insightful too. Won the Booker Prize last year no less. Recommend it.
