Ok, we all want Stephanie Meyer to stick her finger out, stop sulking over the leak and finish Midnight Sun. But that doesnt look likely to happen any time soon, especially while the movies are being filmed.

But she has released "The short second life of Bree Tanner" which is the Newborns story of what happened in Seattle. And whats more, to thank us for making her a millionaire being such loyal fans, she is letting us read it here for free from 7th June for one month.

Its availible to buy from 5th June. Im waiting delivery of mine to my Kindle, so it should be here first thing in the morning.

Do you know, I don't think I'd actually want to read Midnight Sun...?

read the first chapter on her site, and I dunno...Just wasn't feeling it, the story being told from Edward's point of view...

You'll have to let us know what Bree's book is like

Grr... Its not getting delivered to my kindle until tomorrow. No I will have to hope the postman brings my hardcopy before I go out today.

valpolliclla You dont like Midnight Sun? I think its better than Twilight in a lot of ways, and it really helps you understand Edward.

Even though, it as only a rough copy, it is very cleverly written.

Forget Midnight Sun or Bree whatsherface, read Wide Awake instead. Then never bother with Stephanie Meyer again. And of course then come over to the dark side Twi-sluts threads.

The short second life of Bree Tanner - Read it, loved it but way too short for the price tag!

Just finish Midnight Sun already!

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 07/06/2010 19:39

I have got the book and DH is refusing to let me read it until we're on the plane on Saturday. Arse.
I dont think its going to take me too long to read, feels a bit short. Have skimmed the first few pages, and seems to be from when Bree is already a vampire rather than a human, which is not what I was expecting. Having naughtily skimmed a few chapters, it does look like what I was expecting.

Midnight sun is way better than Twilight. I hold out hope that she'll finish it.

evilgiraffe · 07/06/2010 20:27

Midnight Sun is better than Twilight because Edward is more interesting than Bella. I have no interest in reading the Bree book though, she was barely in the original saga, why would I want to read a whole book about her?

ElfOnTheTopShelf · 07/06/2010 20:31

I got the Bree book thinking it would give me the "other side" of the story to the fight, a bit more action packed and the fight from the rest of the Cullen's view, rather than just with Edward/Bella/Seth

But not entirely convinced that is the way it is written.

teamcullen · 07/06/2010 21:09

Elf, your right, not much info on the fight.

All in all, it was a nice story, and did give a good little insight of how they all reacted in the baseball field.

Its a shame the Cullens didnt adopt Bree. She was a sweet charactor
