recommendation to keep expectant mum to be entertained!

Friends birthday is quickly approaching. She's heavily pregnant and need a good novel to keep her entertained while sunning herself. Any recommendations? Something fairly lighthearted and easy to read x

Jilly Cooper - Riders or Polo,

Maeve Binchy - A Circle of Friends or Heart and Soul,

Jane Fallon - Getting rid of Mathew,

Arther Golden - Memoirs of a Geisha,

Louis de Bernieres - Captain Correlli's Mandolin.

Margret Mitchell - Gone With the Wind.

One Day by David Nicholls. Made me cry.

But it isn't all doom and gloom! Just a particular bit made me cry. It's great.

One Day is great. Or anything by Jodi Pic-thingy but not sad baby stories. Or Lisa Jewell - she writes lovely books about love and fate and stuff.

When I was heavily pregnant with DS1 I thought War and Peace was a good choice. Wrong!!!! I didn't even open it.

How about Forever Amber by Katherine Winsor. Its not that heavy but is a really entertaining restoration bodice-ripper.

What about Notes on a Scandal by Zoe Heller?
