it must be 25 years old

it's set in ww2, the main character is a precocious lad who, amongst other things, annoys his grandma by going on about the distant blue hills when she knows hills are green .....and annoys his sister by trying to monopolise her soldier boyfriend

not much to go on but i only have to think of the blue distant hill conversations to start giggling and i'd like to read it again

alibubbles · 20/05/2010 11:31

I looked at that one campocaro, but isn't it a play rather than a novel?

pollywollydoodle · 20/05/2010 13:13

Try the BookSleuth forum on www.abebooks.com (I'd skip the .co.uk version, or cross-post in both, as most of the UK BookSleuthers seem to hang out on .com anyway).

LesbianMummy1 · 20/05/2010 23:06
