What did you think?

I haven't read it but DD2 has recently and she wasn't keen. To be honest, we both prefer the Alex Cross novels.

yes, i thought it was dreadful, and i usually enjoy his books. Managed to be both dull and drivel at the same time. Couldn't remember who was who (kept getting Claire and Cyndi mixed up) and as for the storyline with Yuki's new boyfriend, how odd and completely pointless

I did enjoy it, as it was exactly what I was looking for at the time- something I could get into within minutes and not War and Peace.

I quite like the Boxer series as I didn't really enjoy the last Cross one.

I do agree, however, that the Yuki boyfriend storyline is pointless unless they plan to revisit it in a future novel.

i usually enjoy them to - i think this one was mainly (compltely?) written by maxine!!
this wasn't meant to be a snobby post - i read loads of trash, but it has to be entertaining trash! i thought this was dull

I didn't read is as snobby Stealth.

I, too, read loads of trash unashamedly.

One man's meat and all that..............

I got into James Patterson by mistake

I bought one of his books "When the Wind Blows"
and really enjoyed it until DD2 told me it was meant to be read by teenagers.

Ah well, young at heart eh

I read that one too, and although I didn't think it at the time, your dd's comment makes sense. his other books, I would suggest, are most definitely not supposed to be read by teenagers
