really lost the threads towards the end. Don't read on if you haven't finished it yet. why did she disappear? was the forensic it guy good or bad? what was she looking up on the internet that ethan found? was she rachel? really need help here

She disappeared because the IT guy came to the house after she'd told him their affair was over. She explains it on p 404. He worked for the state police and had a key to their house and she was frightened he'd go after the child. The only way for her to be safe was to disappear so the police would investigate, find out about him and he would become a person of interest.

She found the photo of her husband being abused as a small boy and initially thought he was a paedophile (I think).

Aidan's 'girlfriend' - thank you so much. I finished it this morning and I loved it right up until the end when i didn't follow any of it! Please tell me this:

what did ethan find on the computer that incriminates sandy? (her wednesday night internet activity she alludes to right at the end)

did her dad kill aidan to frame jason so he could get ree?

and did sandy kill the IT guy?

Ethan had discovered the emails/ messages that proved Sandy and his Uncle were having an affair- Wednesdays they communicated prior to the Thursday ballgame meetings. (I don't think there was anything more, but I might have missed it)

Her dad killed Aidan to frame Jason, yes, so he could get Ree (having killed his wife so he could sexually abuse Sandy when she was 16).

Sandy made the car bomb that killed Wayne, but blamed it on her dad (who she shot dead).

yes I found this confusing, think I did get it but they all seemed guilty by the end - took me ages to figure out exactly what the husband's secret was

Hooray! came down this morning and found my questions answered! It was just Sandy's comment at the end that her wednesday night activity was best left unnoticed, and her sending wayne a picture of ree in a swimsuit that made me think maybe i'd missed sandy being a bit'odd'. Agree polarbear - even i'd notice if a new pc turned up! thank you elvis and polarbear - i can start my next vbook (harlan coben, long lost)

I'm confused too. Who was 'The Neighbour'? am I being really dumb? was it Aidan? and what was the strange car with antennae on that Aidan saw? It was so good up to the last bit! I'm glad it's not just me!
