Oh this is dreadful! It had a lot of potential (except for the fact that DK was writing it) but there were so many holes in the plot.
The end of the book is absolutely awful - a point of view from the grave ffs! Anyone could write anything if they could have someone whose voice hasn't been heard throughout explaining everything.
I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but the actual way the person died was ridiculous - such a massive, massive coincidence.
The characters (as always in DK books are so stereotypical - the main character always has to have someone say she's absolutely stunning.
Also (revving up speed here) why didn't the two girls just tell the bloody truth when they were caught. Why did one girl get 20 years in prison and the other nothing at all? Why did the one who got 20 years, who had always pleaded her innocence, actually get released, as you have to admit guilt to be released. Why did a 15 year old get 20 years in an adult prison anyway!!!
But most of all, surely as both girls had been covered in bruises and had visited casualty numerous times, why was this not used in their defence? Where did their parents think the bruises were from? Wouldn't you suspect, if your daughter had a boyfriend and was then covered in bruises, that the two events were connected?
Arrrrrrrrgh, sorry, just finished reading it and have thrown it across the room!
