Second vote for the Rainbow fish - it's beautiful!

Whizz Bang Orangutan - another great poetry book with lots of short poems for younger children

the gruffalo and any of the books by the same author. they are fantastic, my ds is 3 and he loves them.

cat in the hat books, likes the rhymes as they are funny.

THE JOLLY POSTMAN!!!!!!!!! You have to get it, its a sory about a postman but it has little envelopes with reall letters in belonging to the people hes delivering to its the best!!!!!!

  • Traditional fairy tales - Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Three Bears, etc.

I have probably missed loads though. I'll keep thinking.

Mr Archemides bath is great too

Best thing I find is to go to the library tho and then you can buy books that she really likes Saves a packet. Charity shops are great for books too.
