Is there a new Martin Amis? I thought there was but on Amazon it says published in 2008

I thought the Pregnant Widow was his new book. Was going to buy it for dh. But have just looked on amazon and one version says published in 2008 (and the other says Feb 2010). Does anyone know?

According to The Martin Amis Web, the Pregnant Widow will be out in the next few weeks.

ah thanks snorbs. I wondered if it might be a rehashed old one but it doesn't look like it from his website.

I think it must be an error on amazon as it says Hardback 4 Feb 2010, paperback 4 Sep 2008 but I'm guessing they must mean 2010.

I don't know Poppy. Just went to Waterstones to get it and we got the last copy! For some reason it seems to be in great demand (either that or they've buggered up the supply!)

it's called The Pregnant Widow. Was in the shops today but v v few copies about.

Hasn't it received some bad advance reviews from fairly prominent critics (vague recollection of reading Amis had withdrawn from an upcoming Literary Festival due to a bad review from the organiser - maybe the Times?)?

If so, perhaps that is the reason the book is not being heavily promoted?
