vickiyumyum · 10/07/2005 20:58

my ds2 does too, hes just discovered the gruffalos child as well.

it gets abit much though i have to read it every night and he knows if i try to skip a bit, and he can tell i to me word for word without the book!
many times i've heard him sat in teh back of the car telling the story of the gruffalo.

have you read all the others by the same authors- they are great : 'room on a broom' ' the tallest giant in town' and there are more- well worth a look

i took ds a couple of months ago when he was 3-and-a-bit. he did enjoy it (did the most roaring of any child in the audience ), but it was a bit over his head. also, we hadn't read the book for a while so i'm not sure he remembered the story. and it was really expensive. good apart from that though....

Just seen that it is coming to Sheffield in November. DD loves the story so think I will book tickets for her.

NomDePlume · 11/07/2005 13:17

fishy, my DD was under 3 when we went to see the Gruffalo and she LOVED it.

Hulababy · 11/07/2005 13:28

DD is looking forward to it already and it is months away! She loves shows though, and I am sure she will have a great time. TBH think I am quite looking forward to it too. LOL

Niddlynono · 11/07/2005 13:29

I took DS (2.9) to see The Gruffalo a few weeks ago. It's his favourite book/DVD and he was mesmerised by it. He had a big grin on his face throughout and kept turning to me, smiling and nodding.
Can't wait to take him to see Gruffalo's Child at Christmas.

NomDePlume · 11/07/2005 13:37

Is the Gruffalo's Child being done too ? By the same company ?
