Ben Elton!

Does anyone like to read Ben Elton books? I do. I've just finished "Past Mortem" and it was brilliant. I like the way that he picks current subjects such as "Friends Reunited", which is covered in "Past Mortem" and writes about them involving his characters. I also liked "Chart Throb" and "Dead Famous".

I've read most of them, but find they get a bit 'samey' after a while. I think the best ones were the earliest - Stark and Gridlock are probably the ones I enjoyed the most. I must get round to finishing The First Casualty - I had high hopes for that being in a slightly different vein to all of the other recent ones!

I thought Stark was appalling - had he not been well known I doubt he'd have foun d a publisher. Later books were good though but I've not read Past Mortem yet.

Maybe Baby was hilarious - just a shame they let him write the screenplay because it was dreadful - a real disappointment after the book.

Hmmm...perhaps I should read it again. It's been a while, but I thought I liked it

I have a few of them and really like them - my definite favourite is Blind Faith.
