FC put this book in my stocking this year. Never heard of the writer but gave it a go. Strangely compelling but very odd writing style IMO. A bit stilted and clunky. But also beautiful. And the story was worth the effort taken to read.
The protagnist is a teenage boy and I assumed that the writer was too because of the odd style. Just looked him up and he's an elderly gent who has written many other novels. I was quite take aback.
Anyone familiar with him. Is The Wizard Knight very different to his other books? Which would you recommend?
